Membership is Leadership!

The Friends of Goodale Park started in 1987 with a small group of neighborhood advocates who wanted to restore Goodale Park, the cities first public park, to its former glory.

In the early history of the organization, many of those same individuals volunteered their time and energy care for planting beds and plant trees in the park. As the neighborhood evolved, a broader volunteer base was needed and numerous community organizations and dedicated volunteers stepped up and continue to support FGP.

Looking to the future, Friends of Goodale Park is fortunate to have support from our members and partner organizations to help ensure that Goodale Park is preserved as Lincoln Goodale intended as a “…public park and pleasure ground for the city and people of Columbus.”
